Special Olympics Swim Meet Feb. 2012

The Special Olympics Aquatic Events were held February 17,2012, at Bemidji High School in Bemidji, Minnesota. Before the events started the participating teams were announced and a participant led everyone in saying the Special Olympics theme. The events taking place on this day included the ten and twenty-five meter swim. For the ten meter, the participants swam down the width of the pool once. For the twenty-fifth meter the participants swam down the length of the pool twice. Volunteers and the participants all had a good time! There was a lot of laughter, and good feelings everywhere.  -TK
